Common Questions

Wondering if therapy is for you?

Honest answers to the questions people ask most before beginning counseling.

Many people begin therapy longing for more than answers; they seek renewed hope, deeper clarity, and peace of mind amid life’s uncertainties.

I believe that even in life’s most challenging seasons, healing can emerge, strength can be rediscovered, and new growth can take root. Every person is uniquely created with inherent worth, meaningful purpose, and the capacity to move forward with hope, resilience, and renewed vision for the future.

How can therapy help me?

Depending on what brings you in, you can expect to:

  • Understand yourself more deeply: deepen self-awareness and align your life with your core values and faith.
  • Restore relationships: develop healthier communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Find inner peace: learn new coping strategies for anxiety, anger, and emotional pressure.
  • Build resilience: break unhelpful patterns and boost the self-confidence you need to live abundantly.

Real progress comes from applying these insights practically to your daily life, and that application is something we work on together.

Why do people go to therapy?

People seek therapy for clarity, renewal, and a sense of peace in the midst of life’s challenges. Difficult seasons, like a strained marriage, a loss, workplace stress, or a battle with addiction, are also opportunities for restoration and growth.

Ann welcomes anyone ready to meet life’s challenges head-on and embrace the restoration they were created for.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed in our sessions remains strictly confidential, and information cannot be shared without your written permission. The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist.

There are limited exceptions required by law:

  • Safety concerns: suspected imminent danger of harm to yourself or others.
  • Protection of the vulnerable: suspected abuse or neglect of children, dependent adults, or elders.

You can read more on the Privacy Policy page. Full confidentiality documents are provided with your intake paperwork.
